Nick Lucarelli
Nick studied Chemistry at Curtin University where he achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Chemistry) and a Diploma in Education (1975).
He has worked in the government education system since 1976 and has over thirty five years experience teaching Chemistry and Physics to year 11 and 12 students. Nick has authored many successful Chemistry titles since first writing ‘Chemical Reactions Theory and Exercises’ in 1989. His current publications include ‘Essential Chemistry-ATAR Chemistry Units 1 + 2’, ‘Essential Chemsistry-ATAR Chemistry Units 3 + 4’ and co-author of ‘Trial WACE Examination Papers Chemistry Units 3 + 4’.
John Rear
John Rear is the Author of ‘Trial WACE Examination Papers Physics Stage Three’. John studied at Secondary Teachers College to attain a Diploma in Teaching and a bachelor of Education (Physics and Chemistry) in 1983.
He has taught in both the Government and Private Education Systems for over twenty five years. In that time John has helped many students to excel in Chemistry and Physics at year 11 and 12 level. In addition, he has been a WACE and TEE Physics and Chemistry marker for over twenty years. John is the author of ‘Physics for Year 12’ and ‘TEE Physics Revision Guide’ with his latest publication being ‘Trial WACE Examination Papers Physics Stage Three’.
Emily Chater
Emily Chater, co-author of ‘Trail WACE Examination Papers Chemistry Units 3 + 4’, studied at the University of Western Australia to achieve a Bachelor of Science (Honours), majoring in Biochemistry and Genetics. After 2 years working in the field of medical research, she studied at Edith Cowan University to attain a Graduate Diploma in Education in 2006.
She taught for 6 years in the private education system, in that time helping many year 11 and 12 students to achieve excellent results in Chemistry. For the past 4 years she has written the Year 11 and 12 Chemistry examination papers for WATP, as well as teaching holiday preparation courses and providing private tuition in Chemistry.
Damien Patterson
Damien holds a Bachelors of Engineering (Electrical) and Science (Nanotechnology) from the University of Western Australia as well as a Graduate Diploma in Education. Damien is currently employed as a science teacher at Rossmoyne Senior High School specialising in year 11 and year 12 Physics teaching. His experience in engineering brings a practical and real life perspective to the classroom. As well as teaching full-time, Damien has a passion for developing learning resources and has co-authored ‘Trial WACE Examination Papers Physics Units 3 + 4’ and is the author of the online physics learning resource StepUpInPhysics.com.
